This cake is for a lovely lady named Bea, otherwise affectionately known as “the Queen Bee”!  She loves her high heels and handbags   I was asked to make a glamourous birthday cake, with a queen bee on top, some roses, and shoes and lipsticks around the edge.

The cake itself is a 9″ chocolate sponge, filled with orange buttercream, covered with chocolate ganache and sugarpaste.  All the decorations are hand-made, and everything is edible, except the queen bee’s antennae

I hope she likes the cake – Happy Birthday Bea!
