Wedding cake
This cake was a single-tier wedding cake. I was asked to do quite a simple design, with a few pink roses. I did a nice pearly finish on the white icing and after hand-making all the pink roses, I painted the edges of them gold for a more elegant look. The piped writing was done in pink, and then painted over in edible gold paint. There are also 2 handmade sugar wedding rings – so they’re all edible, or can be taken off the cake and kept afterwards to dry out in a cardboard box.
The cake itself is chocolate sponge with vanilla buttercream filling, covered with white chocolate ganache and sugarpaste.
