This cake was ordered by the lovely Lee of beauty blog www.mwah.ie.  She ordered it as a surprise for her boyfriend’s birthday.  Needless to say, he’s a big techie nerd   I was warned that he’d notice all the little details, so I was careful to get the measurements as close as possible to the real thing.  And all the little interfaces had to be right too… The laptop by itself would have been a really flat cake, so I made it look like it was sitting on a table, which was also cake.  Luckily, he recognised what type of laptop it was immediately!

And of course, there are handmade figurines of Lee, Brian and their cute little dog Muffin on top.

The cake itself was a 13″ x 9″ chocolate sponge, filled with chocolate buttercream.
