Not me relaxing in the hot tub, unfortunately… too many cakes to decorate!!   Caitriona asked me to make this cake for her friend Eamon Farrell (yes, his brother is Colin Farrell!).  As the birthday party was being held in Krystle nightclub, the request was for a “show-stopping” cake… and I was told I definitely succeeded!

The cake was in the shape of a hot tub, with Eamon and his husband Steven relaxing in the tub and drinking champagne.   Their two cute dogs are playing at the side of the hot tub.  There is a lot of intricate detail on this cake, from the handmade bubbles in the tub, to the wooden-look finish on the tub, to the doggies frolicking around.  All the decorations are handmade and completely edible.

The cake itself was a 12″ chocolate biscuit cake, covered with chocolate ganache and sugarpaste.  Below is a closeup of some of the detail of the cake.
