Jane’s birthday gift cake

This cake was ordered by Sandra in Mullingar for her mum Jane’s birthday party.  She wanted quite a simple cake, just decorated to look like a gift with a bow on it.  So I covered the cake in cream-coloured sugarpaste with flowers imprinted on it, and wrapped it up in a pink sugarpaste bow.

Cake for a farmer!

This birthday cake was for my uncle, who is a farmer.  So I made him a cute little sheep and cow to sit on the cake beside him.  And now he has been immortalised in sugar!
The cake is 9″ chocolate biscuit cake, covered with sugarpaste.


Heading off to Australia

Cake for an artist…

My lovely aunt had a birthday on New Year’s Eve, so as a little birthday present for her I made this artist’s palette cake. She loves painting and is a wonderful artist, so luckily the cake was much appreciated!

First cake of 2011!

We went to a New Year’s Eve dinner party in my brother’s house.  Of course, I brought a cake!  This one is a chocolate biscuit cake, covered with pale blue sugarpaste and decorated with lots of very sparkly snowflakes
