I made this cake for my neighbours, Johnny and Catherine.  Their daughter is moving to Australia with a few friends, so they thought an Australian-themed Bon Voyage cake would be great for the going-away party.  I handmade little figurines of Rebecca and her friends, a kangaroo, boomerang, Australian flag… and even a shark fin in the sea!

The cake itself was a 10-inch chocolate biscuit cake, covered with chocolate ganache and sugarpaste.  All of the little handmade decorations are completely edible.
