This cake was ordered by Sandra in Mullingar for her mum Jane’s birthday party.  She wanted quite a simple cake, just decorated to look like a gift with a bow on it.  So I covered the cake in cream-coloured sugarpaste with flowers imprinted on it, and wrapped it up in a pink sugarpaste bow.

The cake itself is a 10-inch red velvet cake, triple-layered with white chocolate ganache, and covered in white chocolate ganache and sugarpaste.

I got a lovely text from Sandra afterwards – “Just a quick note to say thanks a million for the cake I collected Friday.  Looked fantastic and tasted beautiful.  Everyone commented on how great it was.  Thanks again.”
