This pretty little cake was ordered by Michelle in Lucan for her daughter Lucy’s Christening.  She wanted a girly pink and white theme, so I covered the cake in baby pink sugarpaste, with a white circle on top to show off the pink handmade booties on top of it.  I also made little sugarpaste building blocks spelling out “Lucy Rose” in lilac and lemon.  Everything on the cake is completely edible.

The cake itself is a 10-inch vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam, covered with vanilla  buttercream and sugarpaste.

I got a lovely email from Michelle afterwards – “Thanks again for the cake.  It went down very well yesterday and looked great.  Got loads of compliments on it.”
