Martina in Clondalkin ordered this cake for her 21st birthday party.  She is a champion Irish Dancer, and sent me photos of herself in her costume to model the little figurine from.  I made the little version of Martina from modelling paste, and handpainted the design on her dress with edible paint.  She is completely edible, apart from a cocktail stick used to help her sit upright!  She also wanted a zebra-print “21″ on the cake, outlined in pink, and I sprayed the cake with edible spray to give it a pearly finish.

The cake itself was a 10-inch vanilla sponge, filled with vanilla buttercream and covered with vanilla buttercream and sugarpaste.
