Farrah’s Christening cake with Mary Jane shoes

Large cupcake with flowers and butterflies

I made this cake for my friend Geraldine’s birthday.  This large cupcake measures approximately 7 x 7 inches, and fed 12 of us on the night, with some left over.  So you would probably get up to 15 servings out of it.  I covered it with chocolate sugarpaste on the bottom, and lilac-coloured sugarpaste on top.  [...]


Christening cupcakes

Ballerina Communion cake

This was my first Communion cake to make this year, and I thought adding a pretty little ballerina on top would make it very girlie.  Although all my handcrafted figurines are usually edible, this little girl does have a ribbon skirt so you wouldn’t want to be eating that

A queen’s birthday cake

Ciara ordered this cake for her grandmother’s 80th birthday party.  Apparently she loves to be treated like a queen, so I handmade a sugar figurine of her sitting on a throne on top of the cake.  She does have a cocktail stick helping her to stay upright, but apart from that everything else is edible.  [...]
