Des ordered this cake for his wife Nikki’s 40th birthday.  She loves shoes and handbags, and works in customer care for Luas (Dublin’s light rail tram system).  Her favourite colour is pink, so I covered an 8-inch square chocolate biscuit cake wih pink sugarpaste.  I handmade a little pair of pink shoes and a handbag from modelling paste.  I then drew the Luas logo onto the handbag with an edible marker.  I also put a little gift tag on top of the cake, made from sugarpaste.
