Diane ordered this cake for her niece Niamh’s second birthday.  Niamh loves visiting her grandparents on their farm, and absolutely adores her grandad’s red tractor!  So Diane thought it would be nice to have a little red tractor on a pink girly birthday cake.  I covered the cake in pink sugarpaste and decorated it with little white flowers.  I handmade a little red tractor from modelling paste, so it is completely edible.

The cake itself was an 8-inch vanilla sponge, filled with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam, and covered with buttercream and sugarpaste.
