I love love love this cake!  Siobhán and Derek from Lucan ordered it for their twins’ Christening.  I carved a bowl-shaped cake and a round cake into the shape of the bottom half of the boat, and a smaller square cake into the cabin part for the top.  All the little pairs of animals are handmade from modelling paste and completely edible.  There are paper lollipop sticks helping to support their heads in some cases, though!  As the babies are a boy and a girl, I used nice soft pastel colours in pink, blue and lemon for the boat.  The original design is by the amazing Debbie Brown.

The cake itself was a lemon sponge bottom tier, with a chocolate sponge top tier.  This cake would be lovely for many different occasions and can be personalised - Christenings, birthdays, baby showers, maybe even engagements…!?
