Lara from Carragh ordered this cake for her daughter Willow’s Christening.  I  had made a different version of it for my niece and nephew’s Christening, so this is an all-pink version!  The top tier is a 6″ chocolate sponge and the bottom tier is an 8″ chocolate biscuit cake.  I made hundreds of little buttons in different shades of pink to go around the cake!

Eoin ordered this cake for his niece Saoirse’s Christening.  He left the design up to me, so I decided to use a pale pink and pale green theme on a white background.  I cut out some pink and green flowers, and made little edible buttons for the centres.  A cute little pink and green owl finished the cake off nicely  I love how this cake turned out – so girlie!

The cake itself was a 10″ vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream.

Pamela from Lucan ordered this cake for her son Harry’s Christening.  She wanted a little model of Harry on top of the cake, and as his dad is a pilot, the cake was to have a pilot theme.  I handmade the baby and pilot’s hat for the topper, which can be kept afterwards, and also made some little airplanes to go around the cake.  Once I added some clouds to the blue background it looked perfect

The cake itself was a 6″ vanilla sponge top tier and 8″ lemon sponge bottom tier.

Michelle from Leixlip ordered this cake for her son Patrick’s birthday.  He’s completely addicted to playing Angry Birds, and since I had a phase of being addicted to it myself I was really looking forward to making this cake  I handmade little edible models of the yellow, red and black angry birds and one green pig.

Laura from Ballyfermot ordered this cake for her 21st birthday party.  She is a huge fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and sent me a picture of  a cake she wanted replicated.  The original cake was made by Little Cherry Cake Company, who very kindly gave me permission to recreate her fabulous cake.

This design could of course be used for an alternative-style wedding cake!

The cake is made up of a 6″, 8″ and 10″ chocolate sponge with vanilla buttercream.  The topper is made from rice crispie treats, all covered in black and purple sugarpaste.  The bottom and top tier are handpainted with edible paint.
